Klodiana Kolomitro Queen's University |
Dr. Klodiana Kolomitro is the Director of Education Development, with the Office of Professional Development and Educational Scholarship in the Faculty of Health Sciences, and cross-appointed to the Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences at Queen's University, Canada. In her role, she sets priorities and direction on educational and scholarly initiatives that are based on inclusive approaches and evidence-informed principles. Her prior portfolio was curriculum development and quality assurance. Dr. Kolomitro has a PhD in Curriculum and Pedagogy from OISE/University of Toronto, and a MSc in Anatomy and Cell Biology from Queen’s University. She recently received the Educational Developers Leadership Award from the Educational Developers Caucus in Canada. Dr. Kolomitro is a volunteer with Academics Without Borders, and Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. |

内容简介
Curriculum design and renewal, is an ongoing, systematic, and purposeful process, aimed at making informed curricular decisions for the purpose of providing students learning experiences that are transformational, inspiring, and intellectually challenging. In this session, Dr. Kolomitro will discuss strategies that impact: the way we approach curriculum change processes, involve stakeholders, establish practices and timelines, and adopt evidence-based pedagogies and high-impact practices. We will also explore factors that enable and limit curriculum development initiatives, and discuss approaches to leveraging SoTL for curriculum enhancement.
